Canada MPs get 4.3% pay bump

Canadian politicians got a 4.3% pay rise on 1 April 2024, taking their base salary from CA$194,600 (US$143,000) to CA$203,100 (US$150,100).

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s salary rose by $17,000 to CA$406,200 (US$300,300).

Canadian MPs are among the highest-paid legislators in the world. At the time of writing, they are the third-best-paid MPs in the world, with only the US and Israel paying their politicians more money.
